On the 2nd and 3rd of June the JASG launched its establishment by organizing a high end conference at the federal representation of Thuringia in Berlin. Well-known international experts from various disciplines, such as biology, economics, health, business and trade policies contributed to a lively discussion. The conference raised the interest of participants from various African countries - such as Ethiopia, South Africa, Lesotho, Mauritius - as well as from Europe, Asia and America. Further the JASG appreciated the contribution of the ambassador of Botswana, a representative of the IMF and the Vice-President of the FSU, Professor Dr. Cantner.
The JASG gratefully thanks its Co-Organizers - the G7 research group from the University of Toronto and the Chambers of Commerce and Industry DIHK - for making the launch conference a great success. Further we appreciate the support of our Sponsors - the Canadian Embassy in Germany, Free State of Thuringia, Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena, Jackman Foundation and the University of Toronto.
